About Vision Quest Retreats

The name Vision Quest Retreats comes from the Native American ritual of the Vision Quest. The Vision Quest is an initiation or turning point in life taken before puberty to find oneself and her intended spiritual and life direction. While the Vision Quest is most often associated with Native American traditions, it is an expression of an important aspect of the “Heroine’s Journey.” Through Success Coaching, Retreats, Speaking Engagements and other Events for Women, Vision Quest Retreats offers unique adventures and opportunities to discover, clarify and ultimately achieve your Vision of Success through your life’s work.

Mission Statement

The mission of Vision Quest Retreats is to liberate women from the tyranny of work that fails to enliven their spirit, utilize all their talents and passion, and does not bring the most they can to the world. We strive to tap into the spirit and passion of individuals to produce joyful, highly motivated and successful women who live from “the inside out” and manifest their greatest selves.

Vision Statement

Our vision is a world in which people are aligned with their passion and matched with their life’s work. It is then that we can achieve our wildest visions of success and joyfully deliver excellence to the world.

Why Women?

People often ask me, “Why just women? Men have visions too.” Of course men have visions and I support them too, but my work is with women because I am a woman and we are unique and powerful in a way that men aren’t. We have unique challenges and ways of being that have not been explored enough. As a little girl I was told I could be anything I wanted to be, but I was also bound by strict convention and gender role expectations that did not fully support who I truly was or who I was truly meant to become. In other words the pretty, polite, smart, nice little girl I was supposed to be had very little to do with the fierce warrior woman/goddess I truly am. A part of the work of Vision Quest Retreats is recovering this for me and for other women who have faced similar challenges to their larger selves and perhaps need help accessing their true powerful nature.
For this reason, Vision Quest Retreats is not for the faint of heart. Discovering, uncovering, perhaps reclaiming and living with your authentic power is by no means an easy task, it is an adventure. It is a heroine’s quest!
